Liverpool Slammed by Jamie Carragher after Brighton Embarrassment

Jamie Carragher, the former Liverpool defender believes that in the Premier League, Liverpool has one of the most flawed defenses and their blushes are just spared by the excellence of Alisson Becker, the goalkeeper.

Liverpool suffered their sixth defeat in the Premier League this season at Amex Stadium on Saturday as a brace from Solly March and a score from Danny Welbeck assured the side of Roberto de Zerbi claimed a victory that sees The Red slip through the 8th in the Premier League table- seven points off the top four.

Carragher took to Twitter and wrote that Liverpool has an as bad defense as anyone who is a part of the Premier League at present. What’s good is they have the best keeper. This means that they are not further down the table.
Ibrahima Konaté, The Brazilian international was probably the only member of Liverpool who could depart the Amex with his head held high in some way as he prevented Evan Ferguson and Kaoru Mitoma from adding to the early second-half lead to the Seagulls.
Brighton’s victory helped them leap over Liverpool and shift to seventh place in the Premier League table since they keep their year-on-year ascendency since the time the team had been promoted in 2017. In the meantime, the chance of Liverpool qualifying for the Champion League of the next season now appears to rest on the success in the competition of the season with a 7-point gap to Newscastle United unlikely to be truncated anytime soon.
Carragher has pulled no punches in assessing the rear guard of Jurgen Klopp. The former Liverpool defender believes they are going to be in a worse position but for a single player. He has heavily criticized the defense of the team and termed it as the reason for their failure.
