JAMIE CARRAGHER ADVISES KLOPP TO DROP FIRMINO

Jamie Carragher has urged Liverpool to drop Roberto Firmino in favor of their new signee Diogo Jota. over the weekend, Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp decided to start Firmino, Jota, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane in their match against Manchester City. Salah got the first goal in the first half of the game before Gabriel Jesus equalized and the point was shared between the two teams.

It was another poor night for Firmino as he has not been instrumental to the reds all season long. Firmino in all competition has only scored just one goal and made two assists in 11 appearances for the Reds while the new player, Jota, has had seven goals already in just 9 appearances for the club.
Jota got his first hat trick for Liverpool FC in a 5-0 win against the high scoring Serie Aside Atalanta in the Champions League group stages matches. Firmino has since been under pressure for not performing alongside Salah and Mane. Jamie Carragher, a former Liverpool defender, has now urged the coach to drop not in form forward for the club's summer signing Jota.

Carragher told talkSPORT that he thinks Firmino is not in form and also wasn't in form last season, that even though they won the league last season, some flaws were being masked. He added that the Brazilian didn't score at home throughout last season until the last match against Chelsea. Carragher stressed the fact that players do always have their ups and downs once in their career, and so he feels Firmino should be left on the bench for three to four matches.
Jota was signed by Liverpool FC from Wolverhampton Wanderers in a £41m 2020 summer deal and has since been instrumental to the success of the Reds in their paste few matches in all competitions. Firmino has scored a total of 79 goals in 256 games in all competitions, wining the Champions League, the Premier League, FIFAWorld Club Cup, and the UEFA Super Cup.
