CARRAGHER TIPS LIVERPOOL TO BEAT WEST HAM UNITED

Liverpool steered their season back on track by sensationally beating Manchester City on Sunday. Jurgen Klopp’s side are now back in form having also smashed Rangers 7-1 in the Champions League last week, and will expect a positive result against West Ham on Wednesday. Express Sport provides an update on six stricken stars.

In Liverpool’s latest major injury setback, forward Diogo Jota will have a scan on the injury that saw him withdrawn on a stretcher in serious discomfort against Man City. The Portugal star appeared to suffer the problem under minimal contact, and Klopp was concerned by the incident.

Jota was replaced against City by Darwin Nunez, who is the strong contender to take the striker's place on Wednesday.
Ibrahima Konate
Defender Ibrahima Konate is absent with a muscle injury that is not deemed to be too serious. The Frenchman missed the win over City on Sunday but could return to face West Ham, especially with Joel Matip also carrying a fitness issue.
Joel Matip
Matip is also expected to return soon having been ruled out for around two weeks after the defeat by Arsenal earlier this month. The 31-year-old had a calf problem following the 3-2 reverse.
Diogo Jota
Liverpool are waiting on a scan result for Diogo Jota after he was stretchered off.
Luis Diaz
Wide man Luis Diaz is perhaps breathing a sigh of relief that Colombia did not qualify for the World Cup. He is set to remain absent until after the tournament due to the knee injury he suffered against Arsenal.
Naby Keita
Midfielder Naby Keita has not been seen since Liverpool’s Community Shield victory over Man City in August. He and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were left out of the Reds’ Champions League squad at the start of the season, suggesting neither will be seen until after Christmas. Nonetheless, Jamie Carragher believes the Reds should win the tie.
Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Henderson, Elliott, Salah, Firmino, Nunez.
