CARRAGHER SNUBBED BY RONALDO ON TV

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher was the subject of various banters online this week after he was snubbed by Cristiano Ronaldo on live TV as Manchester United prepared to take on arch rivals Liverpool at home in a Premier League blockbuster clash. The top two English teams on Monday night at the Theatre of Dreams for their latest league meeting.

Portuguese national team captain Ronaldo appeared briefly on live TV for the Sky Sports coverage of the aforementioned Premier League game involving his Manchester United side and Liverpool alongside Jamie Carragher, Gary Neville, Roy Keane and presenter Dave Jones. Neville and Keane are former Manchester United skippers. Ronaldo greeted both Keane and Neville, while Carragher was clearly snubbed to the delight of the ex-United captains.

Jamie Carragher would go on to react to the snub on his Twitter account as he jokingly said that Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag agreed with him that Ronaldo should be dropped from the starting XI.
Dutchman Ten Hag made the two big calls for the Liverpool game as he dropped two of his biggest players for the game. Club skipper Harry Maguire and the abovementioned Ronaldo were cut from the United starting XI in comparison to the last game at Brentford which ended in a disappointing 4-0 defeat for Ten Hag and his players. Brazil international Fred also made way for Scotland star Scott McTominay in midfield.
For the Liverpool game, Manchester United were the better team and they were rewarded with a 2-1 win at the expense of the Reds. Jadon Sancho scored the first goal of the game in the first half before the advantage was doubled by Marcus Rashford in the second half. Mohamed Salah pulled one back for the Reds in the last ten minutes. Manchester United held on for the rest of the game to secure their first league win of the season.
