CARRAGHER ADVICES KLOPP TO REPLACE THIS LIVERPOOL MAN

Former Liverpool player and current Sky Sport pundit Jamie Carragher has urged Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp to source for a direct replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum who is expected to leave Anfield in the summer. The Netherlands international midfielder has refused to sign a new contract at Liverpool and has set his sights on a move to Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona.


Carragher has now come out to advice manager Klopp that he should act quickly in replacing one of his most important players who now has just a short time to spend at the club. According to Carragher, Liverpool should be looking to make as many as three new signings in the summer so they can cover up for the struggles they have had to face so far this season.

Liverpool have not been themselves thus season so far and are by far a shadow of the team that clicked the Premier League title last season with a number of injuries and dismal performances from their players putting their title hopes this season up in the air.
Speaking on SkySports, Carragher said despite the challenges Liverpool have faced this season, the Reds will be back competing for major honors in no time. He however indicated that they would be needing to bring in as many as three new faces in the summer transfer window to achieve their aim of returning to the top.
Carragher said they need to sign a top center-back who would be another defensive marshall alongside captain Virgil van Dijk. Van Dijk is currently out injured, and his colleagues have suffered greatly in his absence.
Other positions Carragher mentioned that Liverpool should fill in are the attack position and the midfield department. Klopp will also be looking to bring Liverpool back to their best as soon as possible.
