According to Jurgen Klopp, the Premier League is tougher than La Liga

Even though Jurgen Klopp has never been in charge of a club in the Spanish League, La Liga or even competed in a Spanish club, this has not stopped him from voicing his thoughts concerning which European League is in his opinion the most difficult one to obtain success and according to the recently appointed coach of Liverpool, it’s the Premier League.

"Play on December 24, play on December 26, I love my family but for me I prefer to play football. But then we play December 28 and 31, and January 2 and I am thinking: 'OK, now we need three teams for this.'"

He added: "The biggest difference between England and the others is that the competition is always so hard. So, yes, you can play three games if you have teams with special ability, like Manchester City or Manchester United, two teams and let them play.’’

These were the statements released by Jurgen Klopp as the German manager was talking about the high amount of matches that have to be played in the Premier League which is much more than any other top European League.

There are some leagues where only 2 or 3 clubs have a realistic chance of emerging as the champions from that domestic competition but this is not the case of the Premier League as it has a larger amount of clubs that are capable of actually winning.

Just by taking a look at what occurred in the previous 2015-16 season of the Premier League, it’s clear to see that just about anything can happen as it was Leicester City that came out on top and emerged as the champions.

Jurgen Klopp’s statements can indeed be backed up as it certainly is much more difficult to win the top tier English League than other European Leagues, this is mainly due to the almost non-existent resting time that is given to the players of the Premier League and because of all the clubs that are competing and have a real chance of winning.
